the magic dwelling of the Artist as we know her

She has enchanted trees dressed in colourful clothes.
She has wondrous pencils hanging in front of her door, so the world doesn't lose its colour.
She has the magic power to make you forget the Alltag - the dull every-day - once you step beyond her threshold.
Maria Theresia Rittsteuer. In Neusiedl am See, in the magic Burgenland.

the painter

She can paint with colours, she can paint with flavours. When she walks, she walks in strokes of brush, spilling light on the city's canvas. When she is bored of art, she turns chocolate into a masterpiece.
She is Margot and you can see some of her recipes (in Romanian) & paintings HERE.

slippery when frozen

Even the statues can fall on ice, can't they?

the way to Melk - and a lazy Camera Critters post

You get on the ship at Krems. Than, take a comfortable seat in the sun or take cover next to the bar. In any case, listen to the true waltzer of the Danube waves. Look around you, at all the beauty created by nature, or by man. And when the trip has come to an end, prepare your soul and eyes for awe: here is the mighty Stift of Melk.
And since I wanted to take part also in Camera Critters, here is a picture from Schoenbrunn Zoo - a lazy picture for a lazy Sunday! To make things less serious :)!For more Camera Critters click on the logo above!
Have a great Sunday!

Pink Saturday at Stift Melk, Austria

If ever in Austria, please go here: Stift Melk. The barock jewel of the Donau Niederoesterreich (Danube Inferior Austria) area. A monument of art and culture, as well as a place of worship: the art - the voice of the divine speaking through and to mankind.
Infos here (the site of the Stift Melk) and here (the site of the National Austrian Tourism Office).

For more pink photos please click on the logo and visit Bev's site!

Vienna: MQ/MUMOK

One of my favourite places: Vienna's Museums Quartier (click the link for more info). A trip here without at least a cup of coffee and few hours viewing an exhibition is no-can-do.

Above: the entrance from Mariahilferstrasse.
Below: inside MQ.
Clicking on the MUMOK & Museumsquartier labels below, you will see my other posts relatd to this topic.
The benches that you see have a different colour each year. This year they are sort of a lavender. Last year they were sort of beige (as you can see in the picture below).A great place to sit and relax, have a refreshing drink, read something and get a real feeling of the ongoing cultural events.

art...

delight.
although I would like to say something about Picasso... but that would mean outraging the entire world :).
otherwise, I had real art-therapy in Wien: MUMOK (GO SEE ERWIN WURM!), Albertina, Belvedere... and many others I missed due to the lack of time.
