My Ruby Tuesday World and some delicious sandwiches...

Long time since I took part last in Ruby Tuesday, but oh, well, why not? I've got the inspiration looking at some pictures from the Viennese subway... And of course, wanted to combine it with My World: when in Vienna, one of my favourites things is to grab one of these sandwiches and go strolling on Mariahilferstrasse (oh, yeah, I DO shop :) ).
Welcome to U-Bahn :)! And while you are rushing to work, take few minutes to stop by Der Mann or by Anker - and you will be spoiled with some delicious sandwiches, or buns, or whatever else you want! Always freshly made/baked!

the way to Melk - and a lazy Camera Critters post

You get on the ship at Krems. Than, take a comfortable seat in the sun or take cover next to the bar. In any case, listen to the true waltzer of the Danube waves. Look around you, at all the beauty created by nature, or by man. And when the trip has come to an end, prepare your soul and eyes for awe: here is the mighty Stift of Melk.
And since I wanted to take part also in Camera Critters, here is a picture from Schoenbrunn Zoo - a lazy picture for a lazy Sunday! To make things less serious :)!For more Camera Critters click on the logo above!
Have a great Sunday!

add it to the tea

There was a lady selling hats at the fair. So everybody got one. Maybe he got his for free, being surrounded of so much sweetness :). What you think?

cold vs. cosy

Yesterday it rained. Today it's really foggy. So I decided today I'll be really cosy. And publish a nice photo. This one is from Spittelberg Christmas market in Vienna. In their bubbles, although sometimes snows, it always seems so warm and cosy...

This is an archive picture, from last year, but I played in photoshop and liked it :). It's my contribution to this week's Sky Watch Friday.

the salt mountain - now and before

Last time we've been so close to the Slanic Prahova salt mountain was in 2006. What a difference! Back then we could actually get near, touch and taste (!) it. But now, there is a fence and a warning. This is thou not a bad thing - my oppinion is that it should be protected from the hordes of careless tourists, and also from the rain. Oh, well... we still have a long way to go, till we understand that we should protect our natural treasures. But I am afraid that the salt mountain is melted by then...This is now.
Below, the image from 2006.

certified beer drinker

Thanks everybody for passing by and for the nice words! This flu is a total mess: I look like Rudolf already, for much I am blowing my nose...
Anyways, I was going through the pictures in search for something to print out as a gift, and I found a tone of nice stuff that I didn't publish. So here is a little bit of archive item. The picture is taken in May 2007 in Mariazell, Austria. The sign says: Certified Beer Drinker (from the "Hopfen & Malz Universität" :)) ). I wish I had one with "certified aspirin drinker" - that's what I am doing currently :)).
Have a great Friday!

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Alexandra! She is my friend and German teacher.

a view on Victory's Square (Piata Victoriei)

Have a great week everybody!
This is how Piata Victoriei - one of the main business points of Bucharest - looks on a cold day. Don't be fooled - just one care going under the passage means just that I was there in one of the really seldom moments of quiet...

Kaiserschmarrn

One of the best things to eat in Austria: Kaiserschmarrn (click for the recipe). Next to a Melange, is a wonder! This is an archive picture, taken in Cafe Residenz @ Schoenbrunn Palace. Dedicated to my friend Andreea whose guide to Vienna I was last spring.
