don't know about you, but my mornings have to be calm
and smell like coffee
a bit of bright sky is also welcomed
and maybe a slice of bread and some butter.

into the blue
Sunday blues. No, I don't mean blue as in sadness, I mean the many shades of beautiful blue around: the sky, the air, the snow. Blue as in relaxing, blue as in a sunny day, blue as in the wide horizon of a free day's freedom .

yellow autumn
When I went to the backyard today I was amazed to see that all the leaves were down. Must have been the wind from the previous days. Nevertheless, I was inspired enough as to take a picture at the beginning of the week.
Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

an apple a day
I am travelling to Canada. Well, not really, only by reading. But this is where I am right now, fighting battles with stubborn stumps and tracing female identities in a man's world. In few words: I'm studying hard. Too less time to post some things here, but I'll be back. In the meantime, anyways, I has a day when we actually managed to pick all the apples.

In the meantime, they announced 15 C for today (initially 17, but oh, well, meteorologists...).
Have a great Saturday!

the Bucharest Christmas tree
I have no idea if I prefer a natural Christmas tree, or an artificial one. Slightly ecologist, I go for the artificial one, provided that they will re- use it last year. Hm, that I mentioned the word re- used, some people argue that they saw this year's Bucharest Christmas tree last year in Lisbon... Quintarantino, any clue?
So much controversy for this tree... Some people argue it was too expensive. Also some say it is the tallest in Europe with its 76m, but some others argue it is few meters shorter...
Truth is that when its lights were turned on for the first time on the 1st of December, a huge crowd gathered: more than 100,000 people wanted to see the wonder. Resulting from this, huge chaos, traffic was blocked, not even the subway could swallow the tree-gazers, round 50 kids were lost in the crowd (lost and found later :) )... Na ja, what can I say? I am glad I wasn't there :).

Ploiesti
A photo from Ploiesti now, a city 60 km North from Bucharest. A little bit kitchy in my opinion, but hey, better than nothing :).
As for me, after so many weeks when I was waiting for this cold (announcing itslef by random headaches and sneezing), I finally got it - and it's no joy: shiverring with cold (but something like 27 C in the room), sore throat, headaches, totally under the weather... Even the coffee tastes bad...
PS: check also this archive to see Ploiesti last December. This way I remembered the race for Vienna for last year. Yes, I am counting now too: a week left till again in Wien. Hurray!

a new Romanian series
Why is this season so busy? And why we all get crazy? I have an ongoing fight over email with a gentleman that I had a nice cooperation during the year. All of the sudden, he goes ballistic over I-have-no-clue-what! I fight back, trying to be polite, but on the other hand he is saying bad words about my personnel, AND I HATE THAT! Because my people work hard and I know they do a great job. And if at times they fail in doing something perfect, it is just because they are not machines!
Huh, thanks for listening to me, let's go back to nicer things. For a while we'll travell back to Romania, so you'll see some photos from Brasov, from Ploiesti and from Bucharest in the days to come. We start today with Brasov, also as hello to Mr. Ro_Pumpkin (feel free to click HERE and visit his blog, it's wonderful). These photos are something like a week old, they were still decorating the tree. If you want to see how it looks now, with the lights, click HERE (courtesy of the same Mr. Ro_Pumpkin).
