As we were riding to the lake, we caught a glimpse of this:and we thought we need to stop here on our way back. Which we did. At first, frankly speaking, we wondered if we shoud pay 6 euros to go closer to the waterfall. After a short negociation, we decided we spent lots of money on other stupid things, so maybe this natural monument, as they called it, it is worth the money.And then, the Fallbach waterfall (in translation, the falling spring) came in front of our eyes in its entire splendour. Again, I understand why this place was for the druids, and is for many people nowadays, a place where the energies are being built up again, where the soul comes to union again with the body, in a holy-like communion, for the perfect benefit of the human who just stays there, in astonishment.I've never been to Niagara. I can only imagine the roar, the force and the feeling one can get there. I must also say that this is the biggest waterfall I've been so close to. And I feel blessed for seing it, for coming close to it.The water falls from 200 m high. The same hight of the Stephansdom cathedral in Vienna, they told us. The eye gets tricked indeed. Another comparison, of my own this time, the dam at lake Koelnbrein, that I showed you earlier this week, is also 200 m high. Interesting, right?And then, as a perfect addition to the magic scenery, the rainbow. We found no pot of gold at the end of it, but the wonderful experience we had there is worth for sure a pot full of gold.

Malta... Maltatal: land of waterfalls

On the way to the lake that I showed you before, there were the waterfalls. Mysterious, superb, calming. The water is magic. And the green forests around left us breathless. Yes, breathless in a sea of pure oxygen, breathless with amazement in front of the beauty.The Austrian federal land of Carinthia is the place of the old Celtic druids, and people there still believe in the great power of the mother nature. And with each step we took here we could do nothing but agree...

Malta... Maltatal

Yes, there is a Malta in Austria - the Maltatal. A magic place, I'd say, a valley of waterfalls and power places, of never ending forests, of mountain lakes where man and nature collide for the better. A place worth exploring by car, by bike, by foot. There is where I am going to take you for the next days. But in reverse: from the target of the journey, to its beginning.
So, today, the Koelnbrein dam. Impressive, but calm. One point on earth where you can feel how small you are, but yet fortunate to see such beauty.This trip was made by motorcycle during the annual European Bike Week @ Faak am See.

I didn't buy any - I hate the dust on them afterwards :)). Do you collect such souvenirs? For a while I started gathering fridge magnets, but it's not quite my thing. I prefer collecting photos :)...

I started observing benches because of RuneE . I said I'll publish some. Here we go: in Fuerteventura, a bench with a view. We stopped near by and a beer and an ice cream. The temperatures were reaching 40 Celsius degrees. The joys of summer :).

I've never seen one till that moment. It seemed the perfect place for people, and boats, to have their siesta.

I found in Fuerteventura all what I expected and even more. Oh, well, to be honest, I actually didn't have any expectations, and this was for the better. I just discovered it step by step, enjoying the dryness, the desert, the squarish houses, the ocean shores, hidden behind the rocks. And I enjoyed the laziness, above all.
At the end of a dusty island road, we found a black sand beach and a group of houses, built so close together as if to protect each other against the wind or the ocean. No people were to be seen there. But many were on the beach. The smell of the calamari freshly fried in garlic still makes me drool. Heat from the sun, heat from the sand, heat on our skin. A jump into the ocean and then, the perfect siesta feeling...

on Monday rush

I have nothing against Mondays. I like the rush, the traffic, the fresh new week.
