Thanks everybody for answering the yesterday's question. In fact, D.C. Confidential got it right: wheat. And now start laughing: for the cats! And they love it! (In the picture is one pot already starting to grow).
Growing up, my parents use to grind their own wheat for flour so those grains in the pot looked really familiar. I should do the same for the two cats in my house.
And speaking of wheat, if you take a small amount--about 1 tablespoon--and pop it in your mouth and chew it, eventually you'll end up with "wheat gum"!
I recommend growing wheat and those green germs also for you, they have good things for your cells ! I have done them for myself and you can put them to your salad :) Have a good day, Lara!
Beautiful photo, Lara! It is great idea to plant wheat into the pot and looking its growing. That is very interesting and exciting. Don’t forget to take a photo when the wheat is about 10-20 cm. It will be beautiful and very decorative.
What a great picture this makes... it's cold wet and windy here at the moment.. this reminds me the warmth of spring is but a few weeks away.
ReplyDeleteI had no idea cats like to eat wheat shoots!
