retro

I don't know about you, but for me, when I look to some pictures from when I was a child, the colours are strange. Time melted them, turning them to reddish. I was playing in photoshop with these photos from the Antique Fair in Bucharest and look what came out. They are so similar to those from my childhood...
Happy Thursaday!

  1. Lara,
These are great. There is a striking immediacy about them.

Our pictures from the 70s especially have turned a strange brick red, too. Makes me wonder what the process was then and what kind of paper Kodak was producing. We get good results when we scan and correct. Thank goodness for the technology!

  4. Some of them are still good, though. Must have something to do with the quality of the photo laboratory, I guess.

But today it is easy to make old pictures ;)

  5. These are all great, but I especially love the last one with the guys and the old phonographs. Gorgeous!

These photos remind me of the many pleasant hours I spent at my grandparents going through old, old issues of National Geographic. They had them going all the way back to 1929. It's fun to see how photography has evolved and devolved over the century.

Great work Lara. You are on the best way .... PEOPLE, Colours ... motives!
It looks great, it looks like "cross".
Ich bin stolz auf Dich!!! Ich würde aber noch etwas die Stärke von Rot reduzieren. Aber bitte, das ist Geschmackssache....
    Liebe Grüße
