we moved

so we moved in the country. and as I'm writing, I am not sure I will fit in. or if it will fit to me. I wanted it, it's nice to have dogs and all, but I started already sighing for the urban landscape. take for example yesterday. I took a trip "to the big city", and yes, it was crowdy, but it was interesting to study the faces of the people, the dress codes of the youngsters. I am born & raised in the city. but on the other hand, here, in the country, I can see the sunrise in the backyard, and the sunset in the front yard. I need to decide what I like best...

  1. Very beautiful photo with the silhouette of the cat. I dont think we can get a chance to live in the country in land scare Singapore. I am sure you can fit in no time. Will be good to be away from the madding crowd. :)

  5. I know how you feel. I live in a small town that is surrounded by country. I am so used to big cities that it has been a definite adjustment these last two years. I've learned to love it, but I still miss the city! :)

  6. What a beautiful and creative photo! I wish to you a good luck in your new home!

Lara, I know exactly how you feel! I was born and raised in a big city, São Paulo. Since 1998 I have been living in country and I miss the big city so much... but I feel myself more safe in country.

PS1: I found just now that my big trouble isn't with PC, but with Blogger. I tryed to post with my husband's PC and the troubles keep on the same way... and I don't know how I fix it...

PS2: I would like to have your participation on Ecological Day next 2th November.

  7. I am in between; born and raised in a suburb on Minneapolis. Suburs are OK, not as exciting as downtown. but more open and free spaces. the country life where my relatives live is more open and free, more relaxed. It different, give it time to discover this new area. you can always visit the city on weekends.

  9. Dear Lara,
I can understand your feeling through your words but this nostalgic and great photo speaks even more. I too was born in the city, raced in it and I still live in it but when ever I have time I try to go to some countries around my city to run away from city's crowd and noise in order to enjoy the peace of nature. I am sure you will get used to your new home soon and will be happy. I do wish for you good health and wonderful life in your new home.
