08.08.08 Sky Watch: Solar eclipse in Vienna

Last Friday (the first day of August) I witnessed in Vienna a partial solar eclipse. A great natural event, in the awsome Viennese scenery. Professional sky watchers quickly gathered in Heldenplatz, with telescopes and all, to enjoy the eclipse at the best. Now it's your turn to see this!
Happy Friday! (PS: nice date today, 08.08.08...)

  5. What a great post. Eclipses are always a little bit scary too I think, the way the light changes at a time that is not quite 'natural'.
