ReplyDeletethese are truly beautiful images of a great place, thank you for sharing them! I have never visited the monastery itself, but it is on my must-visit list. Every time I visited Austria during the summers, year after year I pointed Stift Melk out to my then small children when it came within sight on the West-Autobahn. They are not so small anymore and now it is a running joke between us that they start shouting unisono "Look, mom, Stift Melk" as soon as they spot it. ;-)
