Roemersteinbruch

Hi everybody!
Thanks for your nice wishes, I hope this time of year was great for you too. I had a wonderful Easter, meet my family and saw some wonderful places in Austria.
Here is the presentation of my Easter weekend: we start with the old Roman stone mine in St. Margarethen.
This is still in use and gave the world among others, stone for the Vienna's Stephansdom.
Moreover, is a great place for opera shows in summer.
And offers a wonderful view of the Neusiedler Lake.

  2. Glad to see you had good time.
And "La Traviatta" out there would certainly be great ... or any of Mozart's amazing operas!

  5. Thank you for sharing your Easter vacation photos. That is interesting to have operas at a mine. I thought the acoustics wouldn't be so good in an open area.
