For today, a quick look at the Heurigen, the typical Austrian tavern. This one is in Grinzing - outskirts of Vienna. Wonderful places to come and enjoy live music, as you see in the second picture, as well as traditional Austrian food (involving lots of meat - you'll see tomorrow what I'm talking about...) and only house wine. The shadow in the middle of the second photo is the waiter - in here you really don't have to wait long for the waiter :).

Happy Saturday everyone!

ReplyDeletethanks for your comments on my blog today!
Heurigen - does it mean something like today`s wine or very new wine?
ReplyDeleteI have been in Vienna and in that "Heurigen" tables were outside and we got very new, sour wine :)
By the way, we have here in this moment a terrible weather, windy, RAINY not snowy :((
But you have a nice weather and good weekend :)
Luke, stay strong. Leena, indeed, Heurigen is the today's wine. Brrrrrrr for the rain...
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a cozy restaurant. The waiter is moving so fast that you can hardly see him.
ReplyDeleteThis restaurant looks like very nice!

The atmosphere you captured is lovely. I feel I can hear the accordian music!
ReplyDeleteLara. You don't know what a picture like that does to someone from the U.S. who has to endure fast food and franchises by the dozen. It messages me about a real enjoyment of the meal and the company of others
